Son Siurana | History

History

Son Siurana is an old estate dating back to the XVIII century, originally it was for rearing sheep, cultivating cereal and collecting almonds and carob beans. The original farmhouse of typical Mallorquin architecture dates from 1784. Solid and robust stone has recently been restored to bring the hotel up to date with modern amenities without loosing the rustic feel. Classic old furniture has been restored accompanying old artisanal tiles, hand painted tiles and traditional Mallorquin fabrics ( lenguas Mallorquinas ), add to the picturesque feel of the hotel and its cosy lounges and accommodations.

Guests can stay in other comfortable parts of the antique agricultural area where the hay and the figs used to be dried. And if you would like to get to know the countryside, the agrotourism has 100 hectares at your disposition to practice hiking, walking through its orchard and gardened areas, relaxing in the swimming pool or contemplating the views from the terraces.
